Our trip to London

There are many differences between the English way of life and ours.

Possitive ones:

Public transport, not so many cars. Double deckers buses often and people walking in the street.
People´s attitude is respectful and polite: They speak very softly; “excuse me”, “sorry” and “thank you” are normal words for them. _Work journey: Shops don´t close at midday. People eat outside.

Not so possitive:

_The pavements are not very clean.
Using fast food products produce a lot of rubbish. _There are long distances (because of types of constructions, many houses and two or three flats buildings.

WHAT I LIKE THE BEST:

Trafalgar Square because it is so big and it is got different monuments: The fountain, Nelson´s column, the speaker corner and the National Gallery in front.
I liked seeing so many people there on Sunday, many of them having a picnic.

_Big Ben Tower with the clock´s bells and Centre Point building as a guide or reference for everyone in the city.

_St James Park near Buckingham Palace because of its great variety of wild flowers, the huge old trees and its lake with a great variety of ducks.

OUR TRIP TO LONDON, Jess, 9 de noviembre de 2011

I love St James’s Park too. There are some very trusting squirrels there although I do worry that they’re a bit too trusting. I don’t like to think of what might happen if they come up against the wrong person.

But my favourite part of London is Covent Garden. It’s always so busy and bustling and it always feels like such a cheerful place. And at Christmas, it’s even better. Last December, my Mum and I booked into serviced apartments London in Covent Garden and had a weekend there. And we came home feeling like we’d had a week’s holiday.

Even if I discover three or four new things that I’d like to do in London (and I invariably do) I’ll always make time for Covent Garden.
